Friday, 25 September 2020, The “Green UVT” Sustainability Centre was inaugurated at the West University of Timișoara in the presence of Dr. Mădălin Bunoiu - Vice-rector, Dr. Petru Ștefea - Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and Dr. Vlad Petcu - Deputy General Manager. The “Green UVT” sustainability centre follows the implementation of the Erasmus+ Programme Key Action 2 project, “Teaching and educating for Sustainability”, project no: 2018-1-RO01-049253 – manager Dr. Gabriela Mircea - professor at The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration.

The main activities of the centre will include:

education for sustainable development and related innovative teaching methods
scientific research in the field of sustainable development
transdisciplinary education and research
collaborative activities with public authorities.

The event was attended by teachers and representatives of secondary education, higher education, local businesses, public authorities and the civil society.

A constructive dialogue, moderated by Dr. Liliana Donath – professor at The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, was held in the “Dimensions of sustainability in the 21st century” workshop that followed. The dialogue focused on the content of the e-learning platform developed within the project and the collaboration perspectives between the main stakeholders interested in sustainable development.
